The BIG JEEP THING and car show

Harrybrooke Park in New Milford is hosting the 2nd annual “BIG JEEP THING & car show” on Sunday July 23rd from 11am to 4pm. ALL Jeeps from all years are welcome and encouraged to enter their jeep. Classic cars from all manufacturers and encouraged to show and last year, came from across the state. The event is free to the public.

Last year’s event, sponsored by Wetmore’s Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram of New Milford, raised dollars for the park. This year they hope to surpass those dollars raised. Candlewood Valley Country Club will be supplying the food, Harrybrooke providing beer and wine for sale and this year, they introduce the “rock garden.” Rocks will be placed for Wranglers to attempt to crawl across them, just for fun.

Billy Buckbee, Executive Director of Harrybrooke Park, stated, “Last year this event drew hundreds of spectators and hundreds of great Jeeps and cars to check out. It’s a family friendly atmosphere to come check out some cars, grab some lunch and enjoy the perfect setting for a car show.”

The event will kick off at 11am. Participants register their vehicle for just $20 and the general public will judge for the winner who receive trophies.
